Technology
The Springdale School District recognizes that technology is an integral part of daily living. Technology will enrich, assist, and encourage active student involvement in the learning process. Integrated appropriately, technology should help unify current core curriculum and instructional strategies.
Springdale students will be provided maximum opportunities to access a variety of technology materials. Technological literacy will be achieved as the natural outcome of exposure to and use of the various technologies available to students within the classroom, the library media center, the computer lab and other resource areas.
It is our belief that technology is for all students. Technology and literacy are ongoing processes that can be best learned through a hands-on approach. A multimedia approach facilitates the learning of all areas of the curriculum. Technology will be used to enhance instructional processes. Complex thinking skills, research skills and basic skill development will be enhanced through the use of technology.
